11:45 — 13:00
The Quantitative Intermodal Business Case

Working with predefined lanes (with set volume, product type, distance, capacity, working capital impact) participants will be introduced to a model developed by Deloitte. Through this model they will be invited to test what matters most - cost, service level, CO₂ reduction, or resilience - to see how to fulfill all stakeholder requirements.
Each group will develop a “balanced scorecard” showing how intermodal compares to road transport, discussing how trade-offs affect the various stakeholders.

Lunch Break

Participants are invited to a standing lunch in the foyer, located just outside the meeting room.

14:00 — 15:00
The Quantitative Intermodal Business Case - Second Part

After receiving the aggregated results and insights from Round 1 the groups will face “Black Swan” scenarios - from price shocks to terminal disruption, capacity crunches, or sudden demand changes.
The groups will be able to adapt their model, debate the options, and decide: does intermodal help absorb the shock, or amplify it?

15:00 — 15:30
Coffee Break
15:30 — 16:30
Selling Intermodal Internally

In this session, participants will concert their experience into arguments and share best practices on building support for intermodal transport among internal stakeholders. They will identify the strongest reasons for and against intermodal adoption, develop short “elevator pitches,” and prepare talking points to take back to their teams.

16:30 — 17:00
Synthesis and Closing
18:30 — 21:00
Dinner – Participation is limited to those who opted in when registering

Join us for a pleasant evening over dinner, a great opportunity to continue networking in a more informal setting. The exact location and time will be communicated at a later stage.
