Jan Arnet

Jan Arnet has served as CEO of the Bertschi Group since August 2018. Jan joined Bertschi as Head Merger & Acquisitions in 2004. From 2005 to 2008 he acted as Managing Director of the newly acquired subsidiary Nordic Bulkers in Sweden. From 2008 to 2011 he was appointed Managing Director BU Solutions, with responsibility for the Group’s market entry in the Middle East. In 2011 he was appointed Group CFO of Bertschi and from 2013 to 2018 he headed the Group's largest Business Unit, Liquids Logistics Europe. Before joining Bertschi, Jan held the positions of CFO and Deputy CEO within Finance, Machining and Inhouse-Logistics industry. 
He holds a Masters degree in Corporate Finance and completed an Asian International Executive Program at INSEAD in Singapore. Since 2019 he has been member of the EPCA Supply Chain Program Committee (SCPC).

Michal Silhacek
Future-Oriented Supply Chain Executive

Michal has spent more than three decades in various leadership roles within IKEA’s global supply chain, primarily in procurement and logistics, across multiple regions of the world. In his most recent position, he led IKEA’s global land transportation for ten years. Among others, Michal established new procurement markets in Ukraine and Brazil, built a centralized organization for land transportation, and developed and implemented IKEA’s land transportation concept based on the three dimensions of sustainability — economic, environmental, and social. He has been deeply engaged in organizational and leadership development, exploring emerging opportunities such as the application of artificial intelligence, future-fit organizational structures, horizontal collaboration, and new partnership models.

Michal is a proud father of three daughters. He holds a Master’s degree in Foreign Trade and International Economics from the Prague University of Economics and Business and is currently pursuing an EMBA at the Quantic School of Business and Technology.

Jan-Jacob Blussé
Manager Supply Chain Strategy

Jan-Jacob is a Manager at Deloitte Consulting in the Supply Chain & Network Operations team. He is specialized in Logistics & Distribution related topics with over a decade of supply chain experience. Within the field of Logistics and Distribution his focus is on network design, order management and distribution optimization, and warehouse operations in Life Sciences & Healthcare and the Consumer Business industry.

Relevant project experience includes design of EMEA distribution network for a printer and electronics manufacturer (incl. modeling operating cost and CO2 emissions for multiple setups), defining the vision & strategy for the global downstream supply chain for a pharmaceutical manufacturer, and an Inventory Working Capital Reduction project for an APAC soft-drink bottler.

Jan-Jacob has Masters degrees in History at Leiden University (NL) and Rutgers University (NJ, USA). He studied Japanese in Kyoto (Japan). He is a Prince2 practitioner and LSS Black Belt certified.
